Miles records each statement credit in your wallet: its amount, current-period status, and days remaining.

Each credit has its own schedule
Credits reset on different schedules: some monthly, some quarterly, some twice a year, some once a year. A semi-annual credit is two credits, not one: The Platinum Card from American Express carries a $300 Hotel Collection credit for January through June and another $300 for July through December, and the first half does not roll into the second. The card returns $600 a year only if you use both.
Whatever is left expires when its period closes. Miles tracks every credit on the schedule set by its card's terms and shows which periods are still open, so a credit you have already paid for does not lapse unnoticed.
What Miles records
Miles gets the amount, reset schedule, current-period end date, and days remaining from its maintained card data. You tell Miles the status for each card, credit, and period in chat or on the Credits page: used, partially used with the amount, or unused. A credit with no status stays distinct from an unused one, and Miles does not report it as lost.
Miles cannot see transactions or connect to your bank. Tell Miles when you use a credit or confirm that it posted. A spending connector beside Miles in your AI can supply that information.
