Ongoing annual value is Miles' modeled estimate of what this card adds each year to a wallet that already earns about 3.1% on everyday spend: statement credits discounted for realistic use, never face value, plus lounge access, elite status and protections, plus rewards earned above that baseline on a typical spending profile, minus the annual fee. Credits gated on very large spend are left out. Actual value depends on how much of each credit and benefit you would genuinely use, and every figure moves with the dataset.
